The SOEIV (Single Occupant Exo-atmospheric Insertion Vehicle), also known as the "HEV" (Human Entry Vehicle) for short, is the primary mode of transportation for ODSTs. They are dropped from orbit and can withstand immense heat. They are useful for dropping troops immediately to clear a landing zone for Pelicans, and for dropping unexpected attacks behind enemy lines.
